The announcement of the German defence minister's resignation is remarkable only for this observation on the post in question:

Those wacky Germans certainly have a pithy way with words.

The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter had such a poor safety record in Luftwaffe and Marineflieger hands that it became known as Witwenmacher, widow maker; Fliegender Sarg, flying coffin; and Erdnagel, literally ground nail or tent peg.

The F-104 was also known by the Royal Canadian Air Force as lawn dart, which suggests a not dissimilar experience to that of the Germans.
