The Met Gala—an annual event for the self-important to gather, in ridiculous attire, to general ambivalence from the rest of the world—returned to New York this year, after last year's event was cancelled due to the pandemic.
Naomi Osaka was one of the four hosts. Obviously, as an introvert with social anxiety, she eschewed any excess in dress or hairstyle that might draw unwanted attention.
Clearly, co-hosting Met Gala 2021 is perfectly natural for the socially anxious. Especially when there are no press to contend with.
Then again, how could anyone refuse to support a cause as noble and worthy as the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute? (rolleyes)
