Today, as they were being sentenced, three of their Just Stop Oil compatriots repeated their earlier protest, in the same gallery no less, by throwing an orange-coloured soup at Sunflowers 1888 and Sunflowers 1889.

The life of Brian (trannie): 4 February 2024; Back at the beginning of 2022, Magdalene Visaggio, né Brian, a [cough] transgender grifter; low-rent activist; and social media panhandler, claimed on Twitter—where else?—that Kurt Cobain was also transgender. The claim was based partly on historical shithead rhetoric, and partly on photos showing him wearing a dress while performing. It was the '90s, it was grunge; WTF do you expect Mags, you silly boy?

Souperlative: 28 January 2024; There must be something about artworks mounted behind protective glass that stirs the passions of environmental protesters into throwing things. Do you really have to be a cynic to think that they're only after media attention without risk of causing any actual damage to the works themselves, and thereby to themselves and their cause? Delicate sensibilities of trivial celebrities: 11 October 2023; Through nothing other than abject boredom, I started reading Laura Martin's The difficulties facing Hollywood super-producer Ryan Murphy’s TV empire on BBC Culture. At almost 2000 words, it's quite long for what it is. And it's not as interesting as I first thought, especially since I've seen none of Murphy's work. Consequently, I didn't finish reading it; but I did get far enough in to learn that black transgender actress Angelica Ross had a hissy fit on set over a crew member who was operating the vehicle she had to drive on camera wearing a racist T-shirt every day.

Tree Story: 23 March 2021; We are reminded, or informed, for those of us who were blissfully unaware until now, that Keiynan Lonsdale—an actor best known as someone that I'd never heard of before—self-identifies as a tree…FFS, even my sense of humour isn't so perverse as to make this shit up! Did the earth move? The bloody house fell down!: 10 November 2009; Caroline Cartwright from Washington, Tyne and Wear, has appeared at Newcastle Crown Court. She's appealing against a conviction for breaching a noise abatement notice, after she was found guilty of making loud noises during sex. In her defence, she argued that she had a right to respect for her private and family life under Article 8 of the Human Rights Act.
