BBC headline states ‘Italy bans unvaccinated children from school’

According to this BBC report, running under the rather sensationalist banner headline Italy bans unvaccinated children from school:

Italian children have been told not to turn up to school unless they can prove they have been properly vaccinated.

This is a response to the relatively poor uptake of vaccinations in the country. Except, it's not quite as drastic as the headline and introduction suggest. As it stands, only children under the age of six will be banned from pre-school; by law, older children cannot be banned from school. Instead, their parents risk being fined €500 if they send their unvaccinated children to school.

Rather more pedestrian…and less sensational headline-worthy, perhaps?

The title of this entry relates to a supposed, although unsubstantiated, attempt by British journalist Claud Cockburn to write a newsworthy but dull headline for The Times newspaper. Our friend, the droid, has just done the opposite.
