Stumped
Another day, another report of a black man shot dead by US police. Unlike Tyre Nichols, Anthony Lowe couldn't outrun the cops, on account of being a double-amputee.
On the other hand, unlike Richard Lee Richards, another knife-wielding wheelchaired bandit offed by a cop, the colour of Lowe's skin will ensure plenty of hullabaloo in political and mainstream media circles. In contrast to the man himself, this story could run and run.*
* Or not. While Nichols comes across as a sympathetic character who came to a heinous end, reports of Lowe's behaviour leading to his dispatch suggest he was a dangerous sack of shit. That won't stop his name being bandied about when race points need to be scored though.
