Everyday thoughts, but not every day

The Matrix Reloaded

I finally got around to watching this last night.

Umm, umm, umm! More of the same really, only not as good IMO.

Yes, the freeway scene was spectacular. But it went on for too long.

Yes the multiple Mr Smiths were a good ploy. But they went on for too long.

I see that they had to make this more of the same in one sense, simply because this was an extension of the narrative started in the first film. But did it have to be so repetetive and dull? Lots of slo-mo fighting that went on too long, but nothing as impressive as the lobby scene in The Matrix, which has to be one of my favourite scenes in any film. Ever.

As for Neo's scene with the architect, I understood the sense of what was going on, but far too much techno/psychobabble to really understand it word-for-word, so I'm sure I'm missing something. Or perhaps it was the booze!

And while Morpheus and Neo went into the room that led to the architect, only Neo came out of the building as it exploded. What the fuck did Morpheus do? Catch a bus?

I can see where they're going with this…kinda. But if the final film of the trilogy ends with Neo, or anyone, waking up and it was all a dream I WILL BE MOST DISCHUFFED!
