I changed the host for my web domain recently. All's going well, apart from a few minor irritations, and one major bugbear…none of our email is getting through.
Okay, so 95% of our email is spam—and that's the reason I've moved, since the new host has server-side filtering, SpamAssassin etc.—but for the few real messages it's a real pain.
I can't email support since I can't receive their reply. So, I thought, I shall get home early and ring them
. And that is just what I did.
- Me:
Hi, I can't collect email from my domain, but everything else is working fine.
- Support:
Yeah, we're having some problems with the new control panel, but all your email is being collected.
- (This is despite the fact that I tried a couple of test messages from work which bounced, but ne'ermind.)
- Me:
So how do I resolve this?
- Support:
We're working on a work around. Give me your email address and I'll let you know when it's fixed.
- Me:
But I can't pick up my email
