This is my truth

The trials of trivial celebrities

I don't know whether it's age or the splintering of entertainment by streaming—most of which is inaccessible unless you have deep pockets and little enough of a real life to justify subscribing to more than one provider—but there seems to be so many vacuous stories of celebrity nonentities. Has it always been like this, and the rise of social media has only now brought it to my attention?

Recently we've heard of a bloke with tits coming to prominence in Euphoria, a HBO series in which he played a bloke with tits. Just a quick search for Hunter Schafer brings a deluge of fawning photoshoots and cringeworthy obsequiousness, praising his sexuality and opinions over any evaluation of him actually being any good as an actor. I don't know, is he? (shrug)

And now we have the untimely death of another actor who's claim to fame is nothing more than a prequel series on Paramount+. How many subscribers does Paramount+ have?

The 27-year-old's body was discovered on Friday after local police were dispatched to examine an unoccupied vehicle.

Presumably, the police found that the unoccupied vehicle was in fact occupied. The BBC's dynamic duo didn't elaborate though.

If the question is How many subscribers does Paramount+ have?, the answer appears to be not enough. Although rumours of Paramount being up for sale have been around for a while, shit just started to get real.
