Give me the reason
In an effort to slow the spread of Chongvirus Omicron, France's prime minister Jean Castex has announced tightened travel restrictions for visitors from the UK.
The French prime minister's office said that from Saturday all non-residents would have to give a compelling reason for travelling to France.
Funnily enough, I've always needed a compelling reason to travel to France. Every visit that I've made in the last twenty years or so has been an otherwise unavoidable business trip.
So, way ahead of you, Jean, me old cocker. More than happy to oblige. And I haven't even been to the UK since the pandemic started.
