I have been graciously invited to attend the 30th World Congress on Controversies in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility (COGI), to be held in Amsterdam in November. Not only that, but if I was born before 1988—and I was, by a clear margin—then I'm eligible to enter the Young Scientist Competition! Yay!!

All those millennials attending must be kicking themselves that they were just born too late. The saps will weep into their soy lattes, as I go up to collect my award. And, given that the motivation for this conference is profit,* I doubt that there'll even be avocado toast on the menu to assuage their disappointment.
