The drains have backed up again

Living on the Edge

YT video thumbnailTwo of my least favourite things in the computing world—M$'s Bing search engine and Edge browser—are being brought together in some kind of buck-toothed search-cum-digital assistant mash-up.

The company's CEO, Satya Nadella, introduced the AI-midwifed love-child of these two monstrosities, as he welcomed attendees to the launch of Azure Kubernetes Container Service 2023. I think that might've been a joke: he laughed; the audience laughed, politely; but I'm not sure.

Technogeeks, huh? [tumbleweed]

M$ claims that its newly-developed ChatGPT-powered Bing/Edge tool can be thought of as an AI copilot for the web. As well as chatbot and [cough] student study aid.

Whatever. Bing is still a bloody stupid name for a search engine. Cool logo though.

I've only just learnt that Edge is cross-platform. I wonder how many MacOS users know, care, and have downloaded it. Probably relatively few.
