Out with the vax
As Serum Institute of India, the world's largest vaccine manufacturer, destroys 100 million doses of expired Chongvax, its CEO was refreshingly candid about the uptake of booster shots.
"The booster vaccines have no demand as people now seem fed up with Covid," Mr Poonawala told reporters on Thursday. "Honestly, I'm also fed up. We all are."
The people of India are not alone. Denizens of Chongvirus' birthplace have also tired of President Pooh's autocratic response to their little problem child. But not so much that they're even Chongvaxed in the first place.
There is no compulsion to be vaccinated. There's barely a public awareness campaign. And it has stubbornly limited vaccination to locally developed vaccines only [sic] when research shows they are not as efficient [sic] as those produced internationally. It really does look like national pride trumping science.

That second paragraph doesn't really make sense to me. I think only
may be a hangover from a previous version that was retained in the re-editing. Particularly since the article then goes on to expound upon China's own Chongvaxes not being as efficacious or effective—but not efficient
—as those developed elsewhere. Clearly, China's scientists aren't as proficient in developing effective/efficacious vaccines as their compatriots are in developing effective/virulent viral disasters.
Ne'ermind, it's all poison to China's economy, which has shrunk from 6% to 0.4% GDP. And Pooh has his head stuck so firmly in the hunny pot up his arse, that he doesn't see it. So, all's good! (thumbup)
