BBC headline: “PM backs JK Rowling's views on new hate crime law”

J.K. Rowling hit out on social media on Monday, after the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act came into force north of the England/Scotland border.

In a series of social media posts, Ms Rowling described several transgender women as men, including convicted prisoners, trans activists and other public figures.

She's not the only one though, is she Auntie Beeb? You're quite capable of dropping the pretence when the circumstances are favourable. (wink)

Politician in making sense shocker!

What makes this noteworthy in more than just ragging on the Beeb's holier-than-thou attitude, if that wasn't enough already, is UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's level-headed response. Rowling Xed: Freedom of speech and belief are at an end in Scotland if the accurate description of biological sex is deemed criminal. Sunak stated: We should not be criminalising people saying common sense things about biological sex, clearly that isn’t right.

I wonder whether Sir Keir Starmer could muster up enough spine to hold such an opinion in public. Or is he too far up his own arse to see the light of day?
