All's not what it seems

Tarty tats

I have been toying with getting a tattoo for ages.

Some years ago, while on holiday in Singapore, I was really taken by a henna dragon tattoo that I had done on my lower leg. I was born in a dragon year, so that's my justification. My permanent tattoo won't be a traditional Chinese dragon, but anyone who wants to accuse me of cultural appropriation nonetheless can go right ahead. You do you.

Behold the field in which I grow my fucks, for it is barren!

More recently, I've adopted an apathetic whatever attitude to anger-management, rather than getting worked up about things that are outside my control. Especially as we're blown by the winds of political ineptitude over the pandemic: a mutation arises; politicians lose their collective shit; and our lives are thrown into further disarray. It's all so predictable, predicated on the tenet that politicians are too spineless to make brave decisions, and adhere to them.

And that's in addition to my ineffectual, yet ever-present, micromanagement.

So, I'm gonna add this, somewhere:
