I cannot pretend that I understand the background, or care much, but there's a lot of discussion over the pond about what defines a woman. It seems like a strange question, because the answer's screamingly obvious to anyone with an above-room temperature IQ. But I think it may have something to do with US law, and twinkies' rights over normals.

'Pa Biden's current nomination to the US Supreme Court, Ketanji Brown Jackson, when asked to provide a definition for the word woman, responded with: I can't…Not in this context, I'm not a biologist. I've heard of legalese fence-sitting, but this bitch's gonna get splinters up her arse. Biden nominated her to make good on his election promise to install a black woman judge on the court, yet she doesn't understand at least one of those two, simple selection criteria! (clown)

Q: What would you say to the parents of the girls that were swimming today, who felt like their daughters were cheated out of a win, who felt like Lia has an unfair biological advantage? A1: She has been transitioning for the past three years, and at this point there isn't that big of a biological difference. A2: Honestly, I feel like they they might have a concern about um unfair advantage and I mean, generally, the advantage that men actual men have in, um, sports comes from hormones. But most trans women do undergo hormone therapy, and so they don't have that advantage after they've transitioned. So I don't think anybody was cheated out of anything.

The second moron then admitted that she hadn't seen Thomas next to her competitors, so she's clearly ignorant. What neither moron seemed to comprehend is that, while Thomas might have transitioned with hormone therapy over the last three years, her musculoskeletal development during the critical teenage years was under androgenic control. This is where the difference lies. And a couple of years of oestrogen therapy doesn't reverse it. I can only assume that the mouth-breathers, like Judge Brown Jackson, majored in something other than biology…or joined-up thinking.

A woman…

…is a mature, adult female of the species Homo sapiens;

…has two X chromosomes;

…has reproductive organs allowing her to conceive, and carry a child to term;

…has mammary glands, to suckle the postnatal infant;

…menstruates;

…is great at multi-tasking;

…is never wrong, at least in her own mind;

…is terrible at navigating and assembling self-build furniture, although that may just be mine.
